Right-click a photo, video, file or folder to delete it from your phone, with a confirmation first.

Delete from your phone

  • Right-click a photo or video in Gallery and choose Delete. If you've selected several, Delete removes all of them. A Delete button also appears next to Download when you select items.
  • Right-click a file or folder in Files to preview, open, download or delete it. Deleting a folder removes everything inside it.
  • DroidLink always asks before deleting, and the item disappears from your phone's own gallery too.

Deleting needs the phone connected over USB or wireless ADB. Deleted items skip the phone's Recycle bin and can't be restored from DroidLink. Windows installers remain unsigned.

DroidLink 1.11.12

2026-10-07

DroidLink now updates itself from inside the app, and the phone's media player shows the thumbnail of what's playing on your PC. Play and Pause keep up with your PC, the phone keeps your PC's name, and there's one quiet DroidLink notification.

Thumbnails in the phone's media player

  • The phone's media player now shows the video thumbnail or album art of what's playing on your PC. Videos fill the width of the player.

Updates inside DroidLink

  • DroidLink downloads new versions by itself in the background. When one is ready, click Restart to update in the top bar. There's no need to download it from the website.
  • Settings > General shows your installed version, whether you're up to date, download progress, and a Check for updates button.

Fixes

  • The Play and Pause button on the phone now changes as soon as playback starts, stops or ends on your PC.
  • The phone keeps showing your PC's name while it's connected, instead of switching to DroidLink Desktop. It shows DroidLink Desktop only when disconnected.
  • The phone shows one DroidLink notification instead of two. It stays as one line until you expand it and no longer moves around in the notification list.
  • Send clipboard in the DroidLink notification now sends your phone's clipboard to your PC. When the phone isn't connected, the notification offers Reconnect instead.
  • DroidLink on your PC no longer gives up on PC controls while it is still starting up.

Thumbnails only appear for apps that share one with Windows. Windows installers remain unsigned.

A redesigned phone app with the DroidLink logo, its own popups, a clearer Settings tab and automatic light and dark mode, plus fixes for phone app crashes.

Redesigned phone app

  • The DroidLink phone app has a new look in your DroidLink Desktop colours: pill-shaped tabs, a centred connection status and one clear button to connect.
  • PC actions are round buttons with a label under each one.
  • The media player is more compact, with artwork, track details, a seek bar and round Previous, Play and Next buttons.
  • Setup steps on the Devices tab are separate cards, and the next step to do is highlighted.
  • The phone app and its home screen icon now use the DroidLink logo.
  • Popups, Power options, the PC controls guide and short messages on the phone now use DroidLink's own colours instead of your phone's default style.
  • Settings is split into Appearance, Phone setup and Notifications on your PC. The fast wireless connection card has been removed.
  • Appearance has a new Automatic option, now the default. It follows your phone's dark mode in your DroidLink Desktop colours and switches to the other mode if text would be hard to read.

PC controls and fixes

  • Tapping Enable PC controls tells you to confirm the popup in DroidLink on your PC, and the popup's full-access choice is now called Enable all PC controls.
  • The phone app no longer closes when DroidLink on your PC refreshes the connection.
  • The phone app no longer runs out of memory when many notifications with pictures wait to be sent to your PC.
  • Scrolling back up on the phone no longer refreshes the page. Pull down from the top to refresh.
  • Reset desktop connection now asks you to confirm with a red button before the phone forgets your PC.
  • Review Android permissions only lists the permissions still to turn on. When everything is on, it says so and you can still view the full list.
  • Reconnect to desktop is hidden while the phone is already connected.
  • The Settings label in the bottom bar is no longer cut off.

Windows installers remain unsigned.

Free Workspace mirroring, a daily fullscreen trial, and faster returning file thumbnails.

Free mirror windows

  • Open as a distinct window now launches a separate Workspace mirror in Free. Pinned companion, Floating phone, and Always show on top remain Pro controls.
  • The mirror control dock appears for separate windows, including fullscreen. Embedded fullscreen retains the shortcut toolbar.
  • Free fullscreen is available for 30 minutes per local day; regular Workspace mirroring remains available afterward.

Files and shortcuts

  • Returning to Files retains already loaded thumbnails, and visible thumbnails are requested sooner.
  • Fresh Free profiles offer Call, SMS, DND, Dim Screen, Lock Mode, and Sound Mode as their six customizable quick actions.

Cold thumbnails still depend on phone transfer and decoding time, especially over wireless. Windows installers remain unsigned.

Clearer Device Info and notifications, compact Files browsing, and a direct Pro checkout.

Device Info

  • The Device Info panel uses the available desktop width, placing SIM, battery, storage, and RAM details in responsive columns.
  • Each SIM shows its provider and Phone number on one line, and the device details fill the available rows.

Files and upgrade

  • Files opens in a compact thumbnail grid with name, date, and size, plus a dense icon-only List view toggle. PDF previews switch between individual pages and continuous scrolling.
  • Upgrade opens the DroidLink checkout directly with the £14.99 lifetime Pro offer.

Free notifications and startup

  • Opening and expanding recent notifications in Free no longer brings up an upgrade prompt. WhatsApp summaries reveal their available messages, and sports rows show the match and latest event.
  • Free starts its phone bridge on localhost so USB use does not request Windows Firewall access to public networks. Pro wireless access opens LAN listeners when activated.

Windows installers remain unsigned.

Clearer SIM numbers, honest battery readings, and cleaner USB recovery.

Device information you can trust

  • Device Info shows each active SIM separately with its name, provider, and number when Android supplies one. Invalid placeholder numbers are hidden.
  • Battery information now shows level, current charge, health, and temperature. It no longer presents an inaccessible full-charge capacity as a changing measurement.

Connection and setup fixes

  • Saved USB devices now suggest checking both the cable and USB debugging when offline.
  • Stale connection errors clear after the phone reconnects, and clipboard paste waits for the phone clipboard to receive the text.
  • The companion appears in Android's Do Not Disturb access list after permission setup, and the desktop window can shrink without enforcing the former 1200 by 800 minimum.

A SIM number can be missing or outdated in Android's carrier records; verify it with the carrier if it matters. Cross-network mirroring and file access remain unavailable. Same-network wireless features still rely on ADB. Windows installers remain unsigned.

Controls beside your phone window, file drops you can see, and mirroring that survives a screen lock.

Controls beside your phone

  • Floating phone and Pinned companion now have a control bar beside the phone: volume up and down, mute, back, home, recent apps, screenshot, expand and stop.
  • The control bar moves with the phone window, goes behind other apps with it and minimises with it. It never covers the phone screen, and Expand leaves room for it.
  • Closing the mirror window with Alt+F4 or the control bar updates DroidLink straight away.

Drop files onto your phone

  • Drag files from File Explorer onto the mirror window to save them to your phone's Downloads, or drop an APK to install it. A Windows notification confirms when it's saved or installed, or tells you if it failed.
  • Dropped photos and videos show up straight away as the newest items in your Gallery.

Mirroring that survives a screen lock

  • Locking a Samsung phone while mirroring no longer ends the session. DroidLink reconnects and reopens the mirror window by itself within a few seconds.
  • If the mirror can't be restored, DroidLink ends the session and tells you, instead of still showing Stop Mirror.

A steadier wireless connection

  • After your phone restarts, DroidLink turns Wireless debugging back on once the phone is on Wi-Fi, so it can reconnect without a USB cable.
  • Your phone finds your PC again after moving between Wi-Fi networks or extenders.
  • USB and Wireless connections now appear as separate choices under their own headings, with clearer labels for saved phones that need attention.

Clearer setup and settings

  • Phone permission setup explains one feature at a time, with Allow and Skip for each.
  • Settings → Notifications lets you choose whether DroidLink shows routine status messages and action prompts.
  • DroidLink has its own themed title bar and refreshed default light and dark colours.
  • + minor improvements, bug fixes, etc.

Cross-network mirroring and file access remain unavailable. Same-network wireless features still rely on ADB. Windows installers remain unsigned.

Landscape videos stay comfortably inside your screen.

Rotate without losing the picture

  • Pinned companion and Workspace now keep landscape videos within your chosen screen, anchored at the bottom-right by default.
  • Workspace adjusts the space beside your phone when it rotates, then restores the tall layout when you return to portrait.
  • Manual resizing remains available within the screen.

Cross-network mirroring and file access remain unavailable. Same-network wireless features still rely on ADB. Windows installers remain unsigned.

A cleaner mirror window and device connections that stay up to date.

A clearer mirroring workspace

  • Pinned companion and Floating phone now use the full available height of your chosen display.
  • Mirror windows hide the Windows title bar for a cleaner phone view. Use Alt+Space to move or resize, Alt+F4 to close, or Stop Mirror in DroidLink.
  • Compare Workspace, Pinned companion and Floating phone with visual layout choices above the full-screen toggle.
  • Window settings have clearer spacing and fewer explanatory labels.

Live device connections

  • Device discovery refreshes automatically, without overlapping requests.
  • Newly connected phones are selected automatically when no mirror is running.
  • Connection labels simply say Connected; missing devices no longer stay marked connected from a saved snapshot.

Cross-network mirroring and file access remain unavailable. Same-network wireless features still rely on ADB. Windows installers remain unsigned.

DroidLink 1.11.4

More useful phone controls and a clearer everyday workspace.

Your phone, at a glance

  • See up to ten recent notifications in the sidebar, with app icons and available contact pictures.
  • See notification logos without added coloured boxes or outlines, and clearer Wi-Fi and mobile-data icons when switching to dark mode.
  • Read sidebar notifications more comfortably with extra space and a visible notification count.
  • Open favourite apps faster with phone-specific saved app lists.
  • Drag enabled shortcuts into place with a clear placement line. Disabled shortcuts keep their positions.

Mirror your way

  • Choose a separate phone window, an always-on-top companion, or a workspace that places your other windows beside the phone.
  • Workspace fits windows edge to edge and maximizes your active app when mirroring stops.
  • Use full-screen mirroring when you want it, or keep the phone in a compact window.

Clearer updates and privacy

  • See what changed after updating the phone app as well as the desktop app.
  • Get clearer guidance if Android cannot finish an update.
  • Keep each phone’s information separate, with an optional combined clipboard history that names each source.

Cross-network mirroring and file access still require further development and are not included in this candidate. Windows installers remain unsigned.

DroidLink 1.11.2

Verified companion updates and faster wireless status and media previews.

Companion and wireless

  • Bundled APKs are checked against their verified signing manifest before installation; a damaged or mismatched bundle leaves the phone unchanged.
  • Wireless telemetry uses a smaller response and reports measured network fields instead of placeholder signal values.
  • Gallery video streaming starts without first downloading the complete file for full-media access. Free previews retain their existing access.
  • Media session reads no longer wait for an unnecessary ADB fallback after a successful companion response.

Setup

  • Companion permission steps explain their purpose and show progress.
  • The desktop guide adds Huawei, updates newer OnePlus menu names, and replaces misleading cross-brand screenshots with a labelled USB debugging illustration.

Network information depends on Android permissions and what the phone reports. Menu names vary across OS releases; the generic illustration is not a device screenshot. Windows installers remain unsigned. The companion uses the pinned Android release signing key.

Clearer feedback and more reliable everyday mirroring.

Everyday improvements

  • Notifications stay visible while you hover or focus them, giving you time to read.
  • Empty file-transfer lists hide unnecessary clearing buttons.
  • New installations start clean, while updates keep your existing pairing.
  • Improved free 720p mirroring, error recovery and desktop updates.

Windows installers remain unsigned.
