Get connected: install DroidLink and prepare your phone

Install DroidLink on Windows, set up the Android companion, and connect over USB or your local network.

Install on Windows

Download DroidLink Free from the download page and run the installer or portable build. Leave the app open while you set up the phone so the connection prompts stay in one place.

Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit) is required. If Windows asks for firewall permission so local devices can be found, allow it when you plan to pair over Wi-Fi.

Prepare your phone

Install the companion from the link or package DroidLink shows, open it, and grant only the permissions the setup flow requests.

For USB, turn on developer options and USB debugging when the app asks. For wireless, keep the phone and PC on the same network and unlock the phone while you pair.

Connect and start mirroring

In DroidLink, pick your phone under Select Devices and connect. When the device shows as connected, start mirroring from Quick Actions and open the Mirror workspace.

If pairing fails on a work laptop, re-check USB debugging or local network access, confirm the companion is running, and open Diagnostics before you retry. Come back to this guide when a release changes the prompts.

Try DroidLink with your phone.
